🚀 What is Duluth DJ Takeover?

Duluth DJ Takeover is a high-energy, open-format DJ event where local and regional DJs showcase their skills in a club-style environment. We bring together diverse sounds, massive visuals, booming bass, and a hyped crowd to create unforgettable nights.

We want to bring the Las Vegas Club Experience to Duluth & surrounding areas!

📅 How often do events happen?

We host DJ Takeovers on the last Saturday of the month at The CaddyShack Indoor Golf & Pub in Duluth, MN.

We also host periodic warehouse parties at the Pro Sound & Light Show warehouse on Garfield Ave in Duluth.

🎛 How can I sign up to DJ?

Fill out our DJ Application Form: https://forms.gle/HxnXxk24kUDvfAR38 to be considered for a set. We get a lot of interest, so sign up early to secure a slot!

⏰ What kind of DJ slots are available?

We offer:
✅ Open Decks (30 min slots) – First come, first served (requires signing up)
✅ Featured DJ Slots (45 min – 1 hour each) – Selected from applications
✅ Headliner DJ Slots (1-2 hours) – Selected from applications

🎶 What genres do you accept?

We welcome DJs spinning:
✔ House
✔ Techno
✔ Open Format
✔ Top 40 / Club Hits
✔ Drum & Bass
✔ Dubstep
✔ Other creative dance/club styles

No pre-recorded sets! We expect live mixing and DJing.

But what about Hip-Hop? We’re currently building the EDM scene, so if you want to drop a dank remix of a hip-hop track, be our guest! In fact we welcome being surprised at mixing genres. But in general, your set should be easily identifiable as EDM, inspired or adjacent.

💿 What equipment is provided?

We typically provide:

Pioneer CDJs + DJM Mixer
Professional sound system
Club-style lighting & visuals

If you require special gear (turntables, controllers, etc.), please mention it in your application.

🎟 Do DJs get pad?

Yes! DJs are paid for their performances. Compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and may include:

✅ Flat Rate Performance Fee – A set amount for your set time
✅ Revenue Share – A percentage of ticket sales based on your draw
✅ Hybrid Model – A base fee + bonus based on attendance or bar sales

Payment details will be discussed individually with selected DJs upon confirmation of their slot.

📢 Am I required to promote the event?

Yes! We ask DJs to share the event on social media, invite their followers, and help spread the word. A strong crowd makes for the best events!

🕺 What’s the vibe of the event?

Think high-energy, club-style, and open-format! We’re here to create an immersive experience with big sound, intense lighting, and visuals that match the music.

🎟 Can I bring guests?

DJs must have a ticket like all attendees. However, we may offer a DJ Guest List for select performers.

✅ Actively promote their set & the event
